Blauvac

Blauvac is a municipality with 462 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the French department of Vaucluse in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.

Near the place a Trappist Monastery is located on the road to Méthamis ( Abbaye Notre- Dame de Bon Secours - ).

Economy

Is one of the largest gypsum deposits of the country on the road to Mazan. The local operation of Lafarge for the mining and processing of gypsum is one of the largest employers in the region.

The wine growers of the village belong to the Appellation d' Origine Cotes du Ventoux.
