Mormoiron

Mormoiron is a commune with 1913 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Vaucluse department in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur. It is capital of the canton Mormoiron.

Geography

Mormoiron is located in the department of Vaucluse between the municipalities Bédoin, Villes- sur -Auzon and Mazan at about 280 meters altitude. Through the town of Bach Ruisseau de Saint -Laurent that flow to the Auzon flows.

Mormoiron part of the wine -growing region Côtes du Ventoux. Along with the neighboring Villes- sur -Auzon the grapes are pressed, developed and marketed through a cooperative.
