Kevin Reynolds (figure skater)

Kevin Reynolds ( born July 23, 1990 in North Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian figure skater who starts in a single run.

Career

Reynolds began at the age of four years with the figure skating. The age of twelve, in 2003, he won the Canadian championships in his age group. In 2004 he was Canadian Vice - Juniorenmesiter and ran from there with the seniors with. In 2008, he landed at the Canadian Championships a quad - triple - triple combination in his freestyle and thus a national record. According to Yevgeny Plyushchenko he is only the second figure skater who has shown such a combination in the new points system. In 2009, he finished third at the national championships. In 2010 he won the bronze medal at the Four Continents Championships and ended his first World Championship in eleventh place.

After he was unable to match the performance of the preseason in the 2010/11 season, he showed himself wiedererstarkt at the World Championships in 2012 and reached as a Canadian runner-up to twelfth place. He showed in an artistically challenging freestyle also a quadruple Salchow.

After he had already shown at the Canadian championships in a strong performance, Reynolds succeeded in 2013 surprisingly winning the Four Continents Championship. In Osaka, he referred the favorite local heroes Yuzuru Hanyū to second place. He achieved a new personal best of 250.55 points after the short program and free skating. In his freestyle Reynolds stood three quadruple jumps. At the World Championships in London Canadian Reynolds reached the fifth place his best result at the World Championships.
