Nobunari Oda

Nobunari Oda (Japanese织田 信 成, Oda Nobunari; born March 25, 1987 in Takatsuki ) is a Japanese figure skater who starts in a single run.

Oda is in 17th generation direct descendant of Oda Nobunaga, one of the most powerful daimyo during the Sengoku period.

He was as a second Japanese Daisuke Takahashi after World Junior Champion 2005. A year later he won the Four Continents Championship and was in his first appearance at Senior World Championships already fourth. In 2009, he became the first Japanese master. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, he finished seventh.

Oda launches, as well as Daisuke Takahashi, for the club of Kansai University and is coached by Lee Barkell and his mother Noriko Oda.

Oda married in 2010. In the fall, his son was born.
