Dmitri Dmitrenko

Dmitri Dmitrenko ( born July 25, 1973 in Kiev ) is a former Ukrainian figure skater, who started in a single run. He is the European champion of 1993.

Starting yet for the Soviet Union, he won the 1992 World Junior Championship. In 1993 he was at his first European championship is surprisingly European champion and the two left skates because his right skate broke down and he could find no suitable replacement. His compatriot Vyacheslav Sagorodnjuk lent him a skate so he could run at all. Seven years later at the European Figure Skating Championships 2000, he won bronze with his second and last medal at the European Championships. At the World Championships he was unable to repeat these successes, his best finish there was the eleventh place in 1999. Dmitrenko a two-time participate in the Olympics, in Nagano in 1998, he was 14 and 2002 in Salt Lake City 18

Training was Dmitrenko of Galina Kukhar. He currently works as a trainer for Alexei Bychenko. He is also official in the ISU. In 2001 he married Oksana Maslova.
