Henry Graham Sharp

Henry Graham Sharp ( born December 19, 1917 in London, † January 2, 1995 in Poole ) was a British figure skater who started in a single run. He is the world champion of 1939 and the European Championships of 1939.

Sharp in 1939, the last year before the seven-year break from competition because of the Second World War, World and European champions. Both times ahead of his compatriot Freddie Tomlins. Even in the three years before Sharp won both world championships as well as the European Championships silver medal. He was defeated there in 1936 Karl Schäfer and 1937 and 1938 Kaspar. At the Olympic Games in 1936, Sharp was fifth. The eight-time British champion came after the war break, which had deprived him of the chance of further successes, back once again. In 1948, he was sixth at the World Championships and seventh at the Olympic Games.
