Kevin Trapp ( born July 8, 1990 in Merzig ) is a German football goalkeeper.
Career
Clubs
Kevin Trapp moved in 2005 from SV Mettlach in the youth department of the 1st FC Kaiserslautern. There he played until the 2007/ 08 season; for season 2008/ 09 he was appointed to the U- 23 of the FCK.
He played until 2010 mainly in the second team of the 1st FC Kaiserslautern, but sat on the arm fracture of the root goalkeeper Tobias Sippel in the 2008 /09 season as a representative of Luis Robles the entire second half on the bench of the professional team.
In the DFB-Pokal, he the rotgesperrten Tobias Sippel represented in each of the Erstrundenpartien the seasons 2008/ 09 and 2009/10. Trapp comes as its predecessors Roman Weidenfeller, Tim Wiese, Florian Sippel Fromlowitz and the goalkeeper School of Gerald Ehrmann. Trapp came on 12 March 2011 ( 26th Round ) in the 2-1 home win against SC Freiburg on his Bundesliga debut when he stepped in for the ailing Tobias Sippel and until shortly before the game learned that he is employed. In the season 2011/12 he was until 23 Round goalkeeper Tobias Sippel before. When he was sidelined because of a muscle injury, Sippel got the nod again.
After relegation from the Bundesliga Trapp joined the 2012/13 season for a transfer fee of 1.5 million euros to Eintracht Frankfurt. When promoted by Main Trapp signed a dated before 30 June 2016 contract. There he was able to prevail against the former goalkeeper Oka Nikolov and had significant influence by strong performances in ensuring that the concord the winter break as a climber took fourth place.
National
Trapp came for various DFB Junior selections to use. With the U-17 he took part in 2007 as third-choice goalkeeper behind Fabian Giefer and René Vollath at the U - 17 World Cup in South Korea, arrived in this age but not used. In the following years he made his first international match, when he, U -19 and U-20 goal tending for the U -18. On 7 September 2010 he was in the 3-0 victory over the selection of Northern Ireland his debut in the U-21 national team in the European Championship qualifiers.
