Khlong Khlung District

Amphoe Khlong Khlung ( Thai: อำเภอ คลองขลุง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the center of the province of Kamphaeng Phet. The Kamphaeng Phet province is located in the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts of Khlong Khlung are counted from the north Mueang Kamphaeng Phet Sai Thong Watthana, Bueng Samakkhi, Khanu Woralaksaburi, Pang Sila Thong and Khlong Lan. All municipalities are located in the province of Kamphaeng Phet.

History

In 1939, the former Amphoe Khanu was renamed in Khlong Khlung.

Management

The Amphoe Khlong Khlung in ten subdistricts ( tambon) divided, the further into 101 villages ( Muban ) are dissected.

There are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Khlong Khlung ( เทศบาล ตำบล คลองขลุง ) consists of parts of the tambon Khlong Khlung.
  • Tha Makhuea ( เทศบาล ตำบล ท่า มะเขือ ) consists of parts of the tambon Tha Makhuea.
  • Tha Phutsa ( เทศบาล ตำบล ท่า พุทรา ) consists of parts of the tambon Tha Phutsa.

In addition, there are ten " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
