Khlung District

Amphoe Khlung ( Thai: อำเภอ ขลุง ) is the southernmost district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Chanthaburi. The Chanthaburi province is located in the eastern region of central Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent Amphoe (clockwise from the northwest ): the Amphoe Laem Sing, Mueang Chanthaburi Makham and Pong Nam Ron in the province of Chanthaburi, Amphoe Bo Rai the Khao Laem Ngop Saming and in the province of Trat. To the southeast lies the Gulf of Thailand.

Management

Amphoe Khlung is divided into twelve subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 90 villages ( Muban ).

Khlung ( Thai: เทศบาล เมือง ขลุง ) is also the name of a city ( Mueang thesaban ) in the district, it consists of the entire Amphoe Khlung.

There are a further four small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Bo Welu ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ่อ เวฬุ ) consists of the whole Tambon Bo Welu,
  • Kwian Hak ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เกวียน หัก ) consists of the whole tambon Kwian Hak,
  • Bo ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ่อ ) consists of the whole Tambon Bo,
  • Tok Phrom ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ตก พรม ) consists of the whole tambon Tok Phrom.

In addition, there are seven Tambon Administration Organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
