Kolaje
Kolaje ( German Hermann village) is a village in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers east of Poděbrady and belongs to fulltext your real estates.
Geography
Kolaje is located on the East Bohemian panel. South-west rises the Oškobrh ( Wolfsberg, 285 m) and to the east of the ridge Na Hřebínku ( Banberg, 271 m).
Neighboring towns are Vrbice in the north, Opočnice in the northeast, Hradcany and BAN in the east, and Žehuň Libněves the southeast, Oškobrh in the south, and Opolany Mlýnek in the southwest, and Kostelíček Vlkov pod Oškobrhem in the west and Srbce in the northwest.
History
In 1777, began as part of the Raabisation the repopulation of the area on Oškobrh, which was referred to this time as Vlkovský Kopec / Wolfsberg. To the mountain villages emerged Srbetz ( Srbce ), Wolfsberg, Lustdorf ( Oškobrh ) and Hermann village.
The applied as street village on the pastureland of the extinct village mast Nice settlement Hermann village got its name from kk Councillor Johann Franz Hermann of Hermann village who acted as Commissioner for the replacement of the Robots in the reign Podiebrad. Originally Hermann village from 18 Familiantenwirtschaften with 2 hectares of cultivated area. The nine wooden houses were built in two rows on either side of the village street. 12 of the families were Evangeliken from Odřepsy and Vrbice.
In the early days alongside Hermann village and the Czech counterpart Heřmanice also Heřmanovice and Heřmandorf were used. Because of the location of the village on an old trade route led under the Oškobrh along from Prague to Hradec Králové, the place was popularly called " Na kolajích " after a feared by the teamsters and 150 m wide rutted switchbacks rise of Raczan to Vlkovský kopec on which lay the village. 1802 burned down half the village, then was rebuilt from white stones. Following the recent 1817-1826 construction of the new road from Kaiser Chlumetz after Podiebrad the impassable path section was eliminated. By the end of the 19th century all the houses in the village had thatched roofs.
After the abolition of patrimonial Heřmanovice / Hermann village was formed in 1850 with the district Raczan a municipality in the district Poděbrady. From 1878, formed Raczan own community. Since 1920, the municipality bears the name Kolaje. On January 1, 1961, Kolaje to fulltext your real estates. Kolaje today consists of 63 houses.
