Koloa Talake

Koloa Talake (* 1934) is a politician tuvaluischer. He was from December 2001 to August 2002 Prime Minister of the country after he had won a confidence vote against his predecessor Faimalaga Luka.

During his reign he acted among other things, the lease for the top level domain of the country (. Tv) with the U.S. provider idealab, since the guarantees to the poor country regular income.

2002 was developed under his coordination with the Government of Kiribati and the Maldives, where an application against the governments of the U.S. and Australia because of their refusal to ratify the Kyoto Protocol. The rising sea levels as a result of global warming is an existential threat to the three island states dar.
