Saufatu Sopoanga

Saufatu Sopoanga (* 1952 ) is a politician tuvaluischer. Between 2002 and 2004 he was the prime minister of the island nation.

Sopoanga was first finance minister of the country. On 2 August 2002 he was elected by the members of the Parliament as Prime Minister after his predecessor Koloa Talake in the previous elections had lost his seat as Member of Parliament.
