Tomasi Puapua

Sir Tomasi Puapua GCMG, KBE, PC ( born September 10, 1938) is a politician tuvaluischer.

Puapua took over on September 8, 1981 after the resignation of Toaripi Lauti the office of Prime Minister of Tuvalu and kept it until 16 October 1989. On 26 June 1998 he was appointed Governor-General, the Deputy of the British monarch as head of state appointed. He held until 9 September 2003 this office.
