Geography

Location

The community Körle lies 16 km ( straight line ) south of the city center of Kassel on the southwestern edge of the Söhre. Your homonymous nucleus is located at the mouth of the dry Mülmisch in the Weser- source river Fulda, in which also the small Haingraben and slightly above, and thus opens the south-east of Körle Mülmisch at Körle.

Neighboring communities

Körle bordered on the west and north on the community Guxhagen ( Schwalm -Eder -Kreis), in the east on the community Söhrewald ( district of Kassel ), and on the south by the cities of Melsungen and Felsberg (both in the Schwalm -Eder -Kreis).

Structure

Körle consists of four districts Empfershausen, Körle, Lobenhausen and Wagenfurth.

History

Körle was first mentioned in 1074 in a deed of the monastery of Fulda documented. The following names have been handed down from the centuries that followed. 1074 Chrulle, 1172 Kurle 1299 Corle, 1391 Kirle 1787 Cörla, 1830 Körle.

The municipality was created in its present form in the context of municipal reform in Hesse by the inclusion of places Empfershausen, Lobenhausen and Wagenfurth after Körle on 1 February 1971.

Körle had its own judicial district until about 1620. Only by expanding the judicial district of Melsungen this fell away.

Today's main street, Nürnberger Straße, served in the 15th / 16th century as postal communication between Kassel and Regensburg, it was therefore sometimes also called Post Road.

On July 15, 1892 Körle connection was to the railway through the establishment of breakpoints of the track in the Fulda valley Kassel - Bebra.

Incorporations

On 1 February 1971, the formerly independent communities Empfershausen, Lobenhausen and Wagenfurth were incorporated.

Mayor

Since 1 February 2000, Mario Gerhold Mayor of Körle. He was elected in the election on 29 August 1999 by 67 % of the vote to succeed the Social Democrats Fritz Ochs ( 1935-2013 ). Gerhold was confirmed with 90.8 % of the votes in the election on 11 September 2005 at the office. In the mayoral election, 4 September 2011 Gerhold was confirmed with 81.4 % of votes in the office again.

The municipality maintains Körle since 1991 partnerships with flea Seligenthal district Schmalkalden- Meiningen.

Transport and Infrastructure

Körle lies on the railway line Bebra - Baunatal - Guntershausen. In the village there is a breakpoint at which the trains of RegioTram Kassel, with the Kassel city center and the train station Kassel- Wilhelm height in about 20 minutes are achievable. The high-speed line between Hanover and Würzburg, with the operating station Körle East leads, excluding scheduled traffic stops by the municipality.   • The Hessian Radfernweg R1 ( Fulda Cycle Route ) performs more than 250 km from the heights of the Rhön along the Fulda to Bad Karl port on the river Weser.
  • The D- Route 9 (Weser - Romantic Road ) leads from the North Sea via Bremen, Kassel, Fulda and the Tauber Valley to Füssen in the Allgäu ( 1197 km ).

Kindergarten and school

The community Körle has several children Betreuungseinrichten:

  • The daycare " The Little Rascals eV " Körle is a eingruppige old cross-stage device, which serves up to 20 children from 6 months. The service hours are Monday to Friday from 7.30 - 14.00 clock.
  • The daycare Pfiffikus is an age cross- educational institution with lunch supplies and a year-round forest group, where a total of up to 130 children at the age of 2 years can be cared for until the end of primary school.

In addition, there is a primary school. Are taught there for about 100 children from first to fourth grade.
