Kris Allen

Kristopher " Kris " Neil Allen ( born June 21, 1985 in Jacksonville, Arkansas) is an American singer-songwriter. In 2009 he won the eighth season of American Idol.

Life

Allen was born on June 21, 1985 in Jacksonville ( Arkansas). In 2007, he released his first album entitled Brand New Shoes. On 26 September 2008 he married his longtime girlfriend Katy O'Connell.

American Idol

Allen auditioned in Louisville (Kentucky). On 19 May 2009 he won the final against Adam Lambert.
