Languiñeo Department

The department Languiñeo lies in the west of the province of Chubut in southern Argentina and is one of the 15 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered to the north by the Departamento Cushamen, on the east by the departments and Paso de Indios Gastre and south by the Departamento Tehuelches and to the west by Chile and the Department of Futaleufu.

The capital of the department Languiñeo is Tecka.

Population

According to estimates by the INDEC, the population grew from 3,017 inhabitants (2001) to 3,573 inhabitants in 2005.
