Lions is the sixth studio album by American rock band The Black Crowes and was released in 2001 under the label V2 Records.

Background
Lions City was taken in January and February 2001, the year in New York and produced by Don Was.
The album was ranked 20th for its release in the Billboard 200. More than 53,000 albums were sold in the first week. Lions received mixed reviews. It was well received in general, but has been criticized that hits were missing.
The band supported their album with two tours of North America and in between with a short tour of Japan and Europe. After completion of the tours, the band took a break until 2005.

At the recording session the songs Last Time Again, Sleepy Heads, The Pretty Gurl Song, Let The Band Play and Remember song were additionally noted in the latter two titles are not, however, be clearly defined.
Single releases
Lickin ' and Soul Singing were published in 2001 as singles. Here Last Time Again, Love Is Now and Sleepy Heads were published of the recording session. The third single Miracle To Me should appear with the song The Pretty Gurl song as a B- side. The publication was canceled.
