Lovčice (Hradec Králové District)

Lovčice ( German Lautschitz, also Louczitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers west of Chlumec nad Cidlinou and belongs to Okres Hradec Králové.

Geography

Lovčice is located in the headwaters of the creek on the East Bohemian Štítarský panel. East of the village are the Drabina and the Ohradywald. In the forest area of ​​the junction of the north of the town extending the railway from Chlumec nad Cidlinou after Městec Králové from the train track Velky Osek - Trutnov done. In Lovčice is the railway station " Lovčice obec "; the station " Lovčice " is just west outside in the open field at the former sugar factory Slibovice. To the southwest lies the nature reserve Žehuňská obora.

History

The first written mention of Lovčice dates from 1299, the village belonged at that time to the dominions Hradišťko and Žiželice. In the 14th century a fortress, as the owner from 1355 to 1377 the Henik brothers and Pribik of Jikva have survived emerged. 1521 sold William Kostka Postupic Lovčice together with Chlumetz Vojtěch of Pernštejna ( 1490-1534 ). 1634 burned down the village Blud the Swedes, in its place a farm was later built. Franz Ulrich Kinsky closed Lovčice 1697 to the rule Chlumetz. The place was spacious, surrounded by two stately hunting areas.
