Luca Cattaneo ( born July 24, 1972 in Breno ) is an Italian alpine skier. Cattaneo's first major event was the Junior World Championship in 1991 in Geilo. Here he finished fifth in the downhill and eleventh place in the Super-G. He also started in the slalom, a discipline in which he took part in the World Cup only in the context of combinations later, and was 24, his first World Cup points won the then 20 -year-old on 12 December 1992, rank 23 in the downhill on the Saslong in Val Gardena.
