Ludvig Holstein-Ledreborg

Johan Ludvig (Louis) Carl Christian Tido Holstein, Landgraf to Ledreborg ( born June 10, 1839 in Hochberg, today Remseck, Württemberg, † March 1, 1912 at Ledreborg ) was a Danish landowner and politician. He was Konseilspräsident (Prime Minister) of Denmark on August 16, 1909 to October 28, 1909.

Holstein - Ledreborg in 1872 elected to the Folketing and distinguished himself as an opponent of the National Liberal governments, without joining a particular party. Later, he put himself at the forefront of a moderate faction of Venstre and was one of the leaders of the United Venstre of the Reichstag.

During a stay in Rome, he has appeared on in his early years to Catholicism. He is currently the only Catholic prime minister of Denmark remained.
