Michael Pedersen Friis

Michael Pedersen Friis ( born October 22, 1857 in Marie Lund ( Odense), † April 24, 1944 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish politician and prime minister ( Statsminister ).

Career

Friis, who was originally a journalist, was from 1904 to 1911 Secretary of State ( Head of Department ), Ministry of Justice. Subsequently, he was until 1923 a member of the Overformynderiet, one from 1869 to 1982 existing public institution that dealt with the Danish legal system. As such, he was also chairman of an Extraordinary Commission for legal and administrative reforms during the First World War.

Prime Minister of 1920
