The Lungi International Airport ( GFLL / FNA), also known as Freetown International Airport and Freetown Lungi International Airport known, is a commercial airport in Lungi, Sierra Leone. It is the only international airport in the country; he is also a hub for international and regional flights, but not for domestic flights. The Sierra Leone River separates the airport from the capital, Freetown. It is managed and operated by Sierra Leone Airports Authority ( SLAA ).

In early 2013 it was announced the construction of a new international airport ( " Sierra Leone International Airport " ) in Freetown. The construction contract was awarded to the Chinese state-owned enterprise China Railway International Consortium, the Ministry of Transport and Aviation on 12 December 2012. Construction is expected to cost 190 million U.S. dollars.

Infrastructure
