Mahnomen is a small town ( with a status of "City" ) and the administrative seat of Mahnomen County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. In 2010, Mahnomen had 1214 inhabitants.

The city as well as the county of the same name within the White Earth Indian Reservation of the Anishinabe.

Geography

Mahnomen is located in the central northwestern Minnesota on the north shore of the Wild Rice River, a right tributary of the Red River of the North. The city is located at 47 ° 18'55 " north latitude, 95 ° 58'07 " west longitude and covers 2.75 km ².
