Maisach

Maisach is a municipality in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck, Regierungsbezirk Oberbayern and is located about 4 km north of Furstenfeldbruck and 25 km west of Munich. By area, Maisach is the largest municipality of the district.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the river of the same Maisach Maisach.

History

The first mention of Maisach dates from the year 806 Also for the other districts except for Gernlinden are documents from the second half of the 8th century or the first half of the 9th century present. The name Gernlinden was first mentioned in 1436.

1818 the community education. The settlement Gernlinden was built after the First World War. The merger of the districts of the church today was 1978.

Incorporations

On 1 January 1978, the main part of the dissolved municipality Malching was incorporated. On 1 May 1978, the formerly independent communities Germerswang, Rottbach and Überacker were added.

Culture and sights

Music

The medieval folk - rock band Schandmaul and the Pagan metal band Equilibrium were established in the district Gernlinden.

Regular events

In the district Gernlinden for years a carnival takes place. The local clubs together with groups from the surrounding communities are taking part. Marchers and cars receive a separate assessment.

Every 2 years is also a well organized festival with medieval market from Fanfarenzug Gernlinden in Gernlinden.

Personalities

  • The comedienne Martina Schwarzmann ( b. 1979 ) grew up in Überacker.
  • The musicians Birgit Muggenthaler (* 1974 ) and Stefan Brunner ( b. 1977 ) come from Gernlinden.
  • The football player Phillipp Steinhart (* 1992) is from Gernlinden.
