Mangfallplatz

The Mangfallplatz in Munich is a place in New Harlaching district. It is named after the river Mangfall.

Since 1956 there is the urban Theodolinden Gymnasium here. In the east adjoining the Mangfallplatz buildings formerly used by the United States Army McGraw -Kaserne ( former Reichszeugmeisterei the NSDAP ) are located since 1992, various departments of the Munich police.

As a weekly market is held on Wednesdays a farmer's market usually 14 to 18 clock on Mangfallplatz.

Subway station

Opened in 1997, The southern Linienast the U1 subway Munich ends at the same station Mangfallplatz, which is located under the Naupliastrasse. Because of the limited space on the surface of the platform hall with sloping piles had to be supported.

The structural design is by Paul Kramer ( Underground Unit ), the interior fitting concept and detailed design of Paolo Nestler, Munich.
