Marina Kiehl

Marina Kiehl ( born January 12, 1965 in Munich) is a German former alpine skier.

Biography

Between 1984 and 1987 she decided five German championships for himself, two in Super -G, two giant slalom and one in downhill, four times they came in second.

Your first of seven World Cup victories celebrated Kiehl in the 1983/84 season in the Super- G of Mont Sainte -Anne. The former Junior World Champion in downhill then also scored podium finishes in the downhill and giant slalom.

Kiehl won the 1985 World Cup in the discipline of giant slalom and Super-G in 1986. She celebrated her biggest success then at the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 when she won the Olympic downhill before Brigitte Oertli and Karen Percy. So she fetched the third Olympic gold medal in the history of the TSV 1860 München.
