Medvode

Medvode ( German intermediate waters ) is a municipality in Upper Carniola in Slovenia.

Location and population

In the overall community consisting of 32 villages and hamlets 15,021 people live. The main town Medvode has 4,655 inhabitants and is situated at an altitude of 313 m. The community is located 12 km north- west of the capital Ljubljana at the confluence of the Sava and Sora.
