Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains Ltd.. (in short: Mercedes AMG HPP, to 2011 Mercedes -Benz High Performance Engines) is a British- German manufacturer of racing engines for the Formula 1 and a 100 - percent subsidiary of Daimler AG. History
In 1984, Mario Illien and Paul Morgan the engine manufacturer Ilmor Engineering. They presented initially manufactured engines for the American Champ Car racing series, from 1990 began the first attempts in the Formula 1 racing series.
