Geography

Geographical Location

Mindelstetten lies in the region of Ingolstadt, in the Hallertau region on the border with Lower Bavaria. By Mindelstetten flows Dettenbach. Mindelstetten lies between the Bellerberg and Schellerberg.

History

The place Mindelstetten located at the old salt and iron street Nuremberg -Landshut. The first mention was made in 1042 in a document of colonization monastery of St. Emmeram in Regensburg; it gives a Erchantrud the monastery Good to " Mundilstetti ". In the 12th century there existed a local aristocracy: 1123 enters Tiemo of Mundel Stetten as a witness. For 1244, a first pastor of Mundilstatt with Henricus Plebanus mentioned in a document, commissioned by the Bishop of Eichstätt. 1408 acquired the masters of the Althinzenhauser from Solnhofen monastery, the village Mingelstetten; the provost Solnhofen, belonging to the monastery of Fulda, should have received the patronage rights soon after 1100. In the Thirty Years' War, the village suffered severe damage in 1632. 1692 was looking for a great fire home the village. 1860 acquired Mindelstetten the first time a fire engine.

Mindelstetten belonged to Rentamt Munich and from 1803 to the district court Abensberg of the electorate and later the Kingdom of Bavaria. Since the merger of the District Court Abensberg with the district court Kelheim Kelheim to the district office in 1862 Mindelstetten belongs to the district office Kelheim, which was renamed in the district of Kelheim 1939.

Coat of arms

On the crest of a marten, in memory of the noble family Muggenthaler, which had its seat in cabin living, and a hops plant are shown, since the hop plays a large role in the region. In the lower range of further features a crown of thorns and a lily, both in memory of the Holy Anna Schäffer.

There are in Mindelstetten a theater club. The birthplace of the mystic Anna Schaeffer is located in the Anna Schäffer Street.

Monuments

Parish Church of St. Nicholas in Mindelstetten

The first local church was probably built in the second half of the 12th century; the basement of the present tower dates from this period. Whether this choir tower church was built back in the monastery of St. Emmeram or only by the Provost Solnhofen, is unclear; in any case, the left side altar of the church was dedicated to Saint Sola to 1684. The church was destroyed in 1400 transformed gothic (consecrated in 1433 ) and in 1692 by fire. 1707/1711 they were extended to the west and exhibited there baroque altars. 1736 the high altar was consecrated. 1776 raised a storm from the tower dome. 1826/27 was the church at a major renovation after removal of the dilapidated vault for a new white blanket; the altars were moved back to the east. 1846-52 was a pyramid-shaped spire roof on the tower with its four gables. 1904/ 05 the church under architect Henry Hauberrisser (Regensburg) was in the " Gothic style simple form " newly built, the tower was reused. The Plague dates from 1580; 1905 acquired by the subsidiary church Hiendorf neo-Gothic pulpit was returned in 1928 and instead installed a 1955 neo-Baroque pulpit. The right side shows the altar instead of an altarpiece, a wooden statue of Saint Barbara, the left, the wooden figure of Mary as Queen of the Rosary. The Way of the Cross painted 1944 artist Goss ( Ingolstadt ). - A south adjacent to the church, about twice as large extension was 1994/95, built by the architectural firm Blasch, Regensburg, for which the south side of the old church was broken. For the construction of the old school and ancillary buildings was demolished. For the amount transferred to the extension to three extended to a total of 22 organ register a new organ in 2001 in the old church erected. The offset after a renovation in the new Rococo high altar with a statue of St. Nicholas in 1905. Altöttinger Chapel

The Chapel of Mercy in Altötting modeled Altöttinger chapel was built by the B 299 after Hiendorf, on behalf of the " Strasbourg host " Mindelstetten 1834 at the fork in the road Neustadt- Vohburg, today turnoff. In 1916 she was converted into a war memorial chapel.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 585,000 in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted € 77,000.
