Mohamed Abdelfatah

Mohamad Abd El Fatah ( born February 4, 1978 in Suez ) is an Egyptian wrestler. It was 2006 world champion at middleweight Greco- Roman style.

Career

Mohamad Ibrahim Abd El Fatah began in 1988 as a teenager with the rings. He is a member of the Police Sports Club Al Quahira Cairo and is trained by Khairy Saleh. He is a sports journalist, but focuses entirely on the rings. In a large 1.85 meters wrestles and he wrestled first in the middleweight and light heavyweight since 2010. He is a good tradition of Egyptian wrestlers who have achieved some great successes at the Olympics and World Championships, especially in the Greco-Roman style, continues.

In 1997 he was winner at the Pan Arab Games in Damascus and at the 1998 African Championships in Cairo. In the semifinals, he lost to Alexander Menshikov from Russia, but with a win over Levon Geghamjan from Armenia, he fought his way to a bronze medal.

In the following years he was unable to build on this success and also managed to qualify for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens not. But in 2006 he was back in top form.
