Mohamed Abdelfatah
Mohamad Abd El Fatah ( born February 4, 1978 in Suez ) is an Egyptian wrestler. It was 2006 world champion at middleweight Greco- Roman style.
Career
Mohamad Ibrahim Abd El Fatah began in 1988 as a teenager with the rings. He is a member of the Police Sports Club Al Quahira Cairo and is trained by Khairy Saleh. He is a sports journalist, but focuses entirely on the rings. In a large 1.85 meters wrestles and he wrestled first in the middleweight and light heavyweight since 2010. He is a good tradition of Egyptian wrestlers who have achieved some great successes at the Olympics and World Championships, especially in the Greco-Roman style, continues.
In 1997 he was winner at the Pan Arab Games in Damascus and at the 1998 African Championships in Cairo. Also at the Junior World Cup in 1998 in Cairo he had a success, because he came there in the weight class | Welterweight 2nd place. 1999 won Mohamad Abd El Fatah at the African Games in Johannesburg middleweight even in two styles. In free style he later never started, however.
In 2000 he was again able to be African champions, also, he managed to qualify for the Olympic Games in Sydney. In Sydney he came at middleweight to a victory over Quincey Clark from the United States. However, after a defeat against Luiz Enrique Mendez Lazo of Cuba, he retired after the second round, finishing in 8th place.
2002 Mohamad Abd El Fatah wiederumg in Cairo African champions and succeeded first time this year a medal at the Wrestling World Championships to be won. In Moscow he defeated to middleweight Alexander Daragan from Ukraine, Bartolomiej Pryczkowski from Poland, Muchran Wachtangadse from Georgia and Bradley Vering from the United States. In the semifinals, he lost to Alexander Menshikov from Russia, but with a win over Levon Geghamjan from Armenia, he fought his way to a bronze medal.
In the following years he was unable to build on this success and also managed to qualify for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens not. But in 2006 he was back in top form. He surprised at the World Championships this year in Guangzhou, the entire professional world and has won victories over Attily Batky, Slovakia, Ka - coma Bella runners, South Africa, the Olympic champion Alexei Mishin 2004, Russia, which he rounds 2-0 and 7-0 points clearly suggested, Badri Chasaija, Georgia and Nazmi Avluca from Turkey world Champion.
