Monika Hess

Monika Hess ( born May 24, 1964 in Engelberg, married Monika Wicki -Hess ) is a former Swiss ski racer. She specializes in the disciplines of slalom, giant slalom and combined.

Biography

The two years younger cousin of Erika Hess went from 1981 in the World Cup. The first World Cup points she brought on 22 December 1981 as a tenth of the giant slalom Chamonix. In the same discipline they started at the 1982 World Cup in Schladming. It was after the first run, second only to her cousin, but retired in the second round of. When a month later discharged Junior World Championship 1982 in Auron Hess won the silver medal in the slalom. In the World Cup rankings regularly followed in the upper middle, on 14 December 1983, she drove in the slalom in Sestriere for the first time on the podium.
