Montataire

Montataire is a commune with 12,626 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Oise in the Picardie region. Its inhabitants call themselves Montatairiens.

Geography

Montataire is located 3.6 km west of Creil and about 50 km north of Paris, in the south of the department of Oise (in straight line ). The river Thérain flows through the municipal area and opens into the Oise little later.

Montataire is a very good transport developed. The community is located off the Autoroute A1, the most commonly used French motorway leading from Paris to Lille. In addition, the route traverses national 16 the municipality. It runs from Pierrefitte- sur -Seine to Clermont -en- Beauvaisis.

The Montraire station is serviced by the railway company TER Picardie. From here a line leads to Beauvais in the north- east and south-west of Creil Montraire.

Thanks to its attractive location several international companies settled in Montataire:
