Pierrefitte-sur-Seine

Pierrefitte- sur -Seine is a commune with 28,026 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Seine- Saint- Denis, Ile- de -France region, a few kilometers north of Paris. Under construction is the new French National Archives.

Geography

Pierrefitte- sur -Seine is located immediately north of Saint- Denis and about 10 km from Paris. The 3.41 km ² large municipality is almost entirely built over. Is correspondingly high population density with 8467 inhabitants per km ². Neighboring communities are Saint- Denis, Stains and Villetaneuse the department of Seine -Saint -Denis and Sarcelles and Montmagny in the department of Val- d'Oise.

Population

With 28,026 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) Pierrefitte- sur -Seine is one of the medium-sized communities in the department of Seine- Saint- Denis. The population grew especially in the beginning of the second half of the 20th century, very strong. Since 1962, the population has almost doubled.

Traffic

Pierrefitte is connected via the RER line D at the station Pierrefitte- Stains with the network of public transport in the Paris region.
