Dugny

The French city of Dugny is a suburb with a population of 10,783 (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the north- east of Paris, about twelve kilometers from the city center. It belongs to the department of Seine -Saint- Denis.

History

The city's name comes from the Gallo-Roman duniacom, which means as much as " conqueror ". Much of the city was destroyed during the Second World War.

Geography

A third of the Le Bourget airport lies on the territory of the municipality Dugny, including the main building and the Musée de l'Air et de l' Espace ( Air and Space Museum ), nevertheless, the airport was named after the neighboring village of Le Bourget. A small portion of the community is in the area of ​​Parc de La Courneuve.
