Rosny-sous-Bois

Rosny -sous -Bois is a French city in the Seine -Saint -Denis in the Ile -de -France east of Paris. The village has 41,254 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011).

Geography

Rosny -sous -Bois is located 5 km east of Paris and is thus in a narrow belt agglomeration of the capital of France. Today, the whole municipal area is practically built on. The brook serrated roller, which indirectly opens later in the Seine, rises in the municipality of Rosny -sous -Bois.

Demographics

With 41 174 inhabitants ( 1999) Rosny -sous -Bois is among the medium-sized conurbations in the department of Seine- Saint- Denis. 1962 the community had only 21,001 inhabitants. In the 1960s and early 70s, a very steep growth was verzeichnet.1975, the population was 35 784. For about 30 years, the population is only very slowly, but has grown constantly. The population density is very high with 6617 inhabitants per km ².

In the city, one is of three training centers for artists and circus people in France, the École Nationale des Arts du Cirque de Rosny -sous -Bois.

Traffic

The city has two railway stations, Rosny- Bois- Perrier and Rosny- sous- Bois, on the railway line Paris -Mulhouse. These hold RER line E.

Twinning

Rosny -sous -Bois is twinned with the Rhenish Ubach- Palenberg since 1989.
