Mytilineos Holdings S. A. (Greek Μυτιληναίος Α.Ε. - Ομιλος Επιχειρήσεων, literally Mytilineos AG group of companies ) is a Greek conglomerate in the fields of metallurgy and technology. Office of the Company is the Athens suburb of Maroussi. The Company's shares are listed under the symbol MYTIL in Athex Composite Share Price Index and the FTSE / Athex 20 on the Athens Stock Exchange.

Group structure

Mytilineos went in 1990 from the same- old family business, in the field of metallurgy worked since 1908. The company's shares are listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since 1995.

The Group is divided into the following business (as of 2012):

  • Metal extraction, mining ( Metallurgy & Mining)
  • Renewable Energy ( Energy)
  • EPC plant
  • Vehicle Vehicle Industry

With subsidiaries in Romania, Turkey, Syria and Pakistan.

With the acquisition of Aluminium of Greece in 2005, the activities of the metal extraction were extended to industrial production. 2007, the joint venture Endesa Hellas was established in cooperation with the Spanish energy company Endesa. It is used in particular to the expansion which began in 2001, activities in the field of electricity production on fields of renewable energy (wind, hydro and photovoltaic ).

The Group is also the owner of the lead smelter in Sometra Copşa Mica ( Kleinkopisch German, Hungarian Kiskapus ), a small town in Transylvania, Romania, which was regarded as the biggest polluters in Europe, but has been shut down since 2008.
