National Anthem of Saudi Arabia

ʾ as- salam al - malaki ʾ ( ʾ al - malik aš ) (Arabic نشيد وطني سعودي, Long live the king ') is the national anthem of Saudi Arabia. The melody was composed in 1947 by Abdul Rahman Al- Khatib ʾ and 1950 proclaimed the national anthem. For many years the national anthem was officially without text, however, there was an unofficial text, which was written by the poet Muhammad Talat and praised the king as the guardian of the holy places of Islam. Today's text was written by Ibrahim Ḫafaǧi and 1984 officially adopted. He praises God and asks to give a long life to the king.
