Nikita Shchitov

Nikita Alexandrovich Schtschitow (Russian: Никита Александрович Щитов; born March 12, 1983 in Ufa, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player standing since November 2013 for Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Nikita Schtschitow began his career as a hockey player with Toros Neftekamsk, for which he was active in the third-class Perwaja League earlier in the season 2003/ 04. After only six missions, he moved to Metallurg Serov, for the first team he was in the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league, active until 2005. In parallel, he played in this period for its second team still in the Perwaja league. The 2005/06 season began, the attacker at third division Kedr Novouralsk, but spent the next year and a half at Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the Super League. In the season 2006/ 07 the Russians played mostly for his former club Toros Neftekamsk, who had risen in the meantime in the subprime Wysschaja league.

In the 2007 /08 season Schtschitow stood for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the Super League on the ice and he succeeded for the first time to establish himself as a regular in the highest Russian league. For next season, the Russian moved to HK Spartak Moscow of the Kontinental Hockey League newly established. He left the capital club in November 2010 to return to Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. In the following two years, he completed the game over 70 appearances for KHL Neftekhimik and was during the 2011/12 season also assistant captain of his team.

In May 2012, he returned to Spartak Moscow, where he signed a contract for two years duration. A year later, he returned on payment of a compensation sum to Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. In November 2013 he was released as part of a ring is replaced, at which Igor Musatov and Maxim Trunjow were also involved in Ufa Salavat Yulaev.
