History

The Office was established as an official Nortorf land on April 1, 1970 from the offices Bargstedt, Borgdorf, Timmaspe and the two municipalities Emkendorf and German Nienhof the dissolved Office Westensee and initially had 18 municipalities. On 1 August 1976, the municipality of German - Nienhof was dissolved at his own request and the northern districts Wrohe, Josephinenhof and Krahenberg in the community Westensee (Official Achterwehr ) incorporated, while the remaining districts Pohlsee, sink village and block village were incorporated after long fronds.
