Nuussuaq

Nuussuaq, outdated also Nûgssuaq, Danish Kraulshavn is a settlement in northern Greenland to Baffin Bay, about 200 km north of Upernavik.

The settlement now comprises about 40 houses with 198 inhabitants and is located on the same peninsula. Your Greenlandic name means large peninsula. A passenger boat service from 1-2 times per week from Upernavik to its community Nuussuaq long administratively belonged. Since 2009 it belongs to the commune Qaasuitsup Press Office.

The soil of the region is made of ice and granite. The area is ideal for hiking and whale watching.
