Oberhallau

Oberhallau is a municipality in the canton of Schaffhausen in Switzerland.

Geography

Oberhallau located in Schaffhausen Unterklettgau, nestled between Lugmer and upper Hallauer mountain at the foot of the vineyards. The upper Hallauer maintain good relations with the neighboring villages Hallau, Gächlingen and nine parishes.

Population

Since Oberhallau earlier Hallau formed a community that Lily is at its crest. However, after the detachment Oberhallau wanted to wear a special coat of arms. Since their church of St. Peter is ordained, they chose the key as an additional symbol of their coat of arms. This is found for the first time in 1558 on a disc tear. The shield with the coat of arms is cleaved by white with a blue key and blue with yellow lily. 1751 will be the first time the version with the lily occupied by a horizontal key. This coat of arms was finally adopted in 1949 by the local council.

Hillclimb

The distance traveled in the race lap record for Tourenwagen is 1:16:44, achieved in 2009 by Reto Meisel. The absolute distance record until August 28, 2011 were scored by Eric Berguerand in a Formula 3000 Lola -Cosworth T96 with 1:12,26 in 2005. Attractions

When in 1922 a pneumatic organ should be installed, the young men did not want to give up their seats in the gallery - they would have had to take a seat in the nave - why organ pipes was installed in the choir. The late Renaissance pulpit in oak wood was quickly built into it in the middle of the organ pipes.

Next to the church is refurbished in 2002, the restaurant " Gmaandhuus ".
