Oldendorf-Himmelpforten
The Samtgemeinde Oldendorf - gates of heaven is a community association in the district of Stade in Lower Saxony. The administrative headquarters is located in Himmelspforten in Oldendorf is a branch office including citizens resident. In the Samtgemeinde 17 453 inhabitants. (As of December 31, 2012)

The integrated municipality consists of the ten member communities Burweg, Düdenbüttel, Engelschoff, Estorf, Großenwörden, Hammah, Hein Bockel, pearly gates, Kranenburg and Oldendorf.
History
The Samtgemeinde arose on 1 January 2014 from the merger of the joint communities Himmelspforten and Oldendorf.
Policy
Samtgemeinderat
The Samtgemeinderat consists of 39 members. In addition to the 38 other council members he is also a member of the full-time integrated municipality mayor.

In the mayoral election on 10 November 2013, Holger Falcke prevailed with 85.09 percent of votes. Falcke is no party and joined with the support of the CDU and the SPD as the sole candidate for the post of Joint municipality mayor. He was previously mayor of Samtgemeinde pearly gates and is a key proponent of the creation of the new Samtgemeinde Oldendorf - gates of heaven.
