Oldendorf, Stade

Oldendorf ( Low German Olendörp ) is a municipality in the district of Stade in Lower Saxony. They also have a branch office of the Samtgemeinde Oldendorf - gates of heaven. In addition to the main town Oldendorf also includes the settlements Kåken, Timmer charge, Sunde, White Moor and settlement Oldendorf to the community.

History

The name comes from the Low German and Oldendorf meant Old Village.

In August 1959 ravaged a large moor and heath fire in the High Moor near the Oldendorfer lake, which could be extinguished only after four weeks.

Coat of arms and flag

The coat of arms was approved on 27 September 1982 by the council and approved by the district of Stade, on 30 December 1982.

Blazon: " Split and divided back; forward into a golden green continuous cross, rear top in gold, a black left -sighted eagle with red reinforcement, rear bottom in black a golden growing left inverted lion with red reinforcement. "
