Sauensiek ( Low German Sounsiek ) is a municipality in the south of the district of Stade in Lower Saxony near Hamburg.

Geography

Geographical Location

In the community Sauensiek lies with the Litberg the highest elevation in the district of Stade. It has a height of 65 m above sea level and is designated as a conservation area.

Neighboring communities

In the north of community Sauensiek are the communities Beckendorf and Apensen, which also belong to Samtgemeinde Apensen. In the West, the community is bordered by the Municipality Sauensiek Harsefeld with communities Ahlerstedt and Harsefeld. In the east, the district of Harburg begins. The neighboring municipalities Regesbostel, Holvede and Halvesbostel are all in the Samtgemeinde Coquille. To the south is the district of Rotenburg (Wümme ). Here the communities Wohnste and Vierden limits ( both Samtgemeinde Sittingbourne ) to the community Sauensiek.

Community structure

Sauensiek is composed of three parts. In addition to the main town Sauensiek, which also Löhe, Bredehorn and Bock Horst belong, these are the villages Wiegersen and Revenahe chamber bush.

History

Incorporations

On 1 July 1972, the municipalities Revenahe and Wiegersen were incorporated.

Theater

In Sauensiek there is a local theater group that lists items regularly.

Music

The shooting club Sauensiek maintains a marching band, which is to be found not only on the sows Sieker Schützenfest end, but also other musical gun clubs.

  • Bus: Sauensiek is connected via three bus lines ( 2035, 2036, 2711 ) to Buxtehude. In addition, there are school transport to schools in Wiegersen, Harsefeld and Apensen.

Education

In Wiegersen is the primary school of the community. The primary and junior high school can be visited in Apensen. The School for the children of the community Sauensiek located in Harsefeld. Vocational schools are found in Buxtehude and Stade.
