Olga Konkova

Olga Konkova (Russian Ольга Конькова; born August 25, 1969 in Moscow) is a Russian jazz pianist.

Konkova had from the age of seven piano lessons and studied until 1993 at the Gnessin Institute Moscow classical piano and composition. She then studied for two semesters at Berklee College of Music in Boston. In 1994 she moved to Oslo, where she married the bassist Per Mathisen.

She gave concerts in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the USA, Ireland, England, Belgium, France, Russia, and Austria and worked with musicians such as Ralph Peterson, Adam Nussbaum, Gary Husband, Bill Bruford, Alex Sipiagin, Boris Kozlov, Jon Gordon, Marilyn Mazur, Seamus Blake, Magni Wentzel, Jon Christensen, Bobby Shew, Helge Sunde and Audun Kleive. Since the mid- 1990s, they released several albums under their name.
