Ondřej Smetana

Ondřej Smetana ( [ Ondr ʲ ej smɛtana ]; born September 4, 1982 in Ostrava ) is a Czech football player.

Career

The rechtsfüßige striker spent the first nine years of his professional career in various clubs in the first three divisions of the Czech Republic before he arrived from 2010 through Slovakia to Belgium and finally Germany. There he wrote in June 2012, initially on loan from Belgian VV St. Truiden a one-year contract with the third division side Hansa Rostock; also an option to purchase has been agreed. For Hansa Smetana then played in 25 games in which he scored a total of eight goals. In addition, he was selected in each case in September and October 2012 for the third league player of the month and ultimately finished second in the election for third league player of the year. After a brief stop in the first division of Cyprus signed him in January 2014, the third division SV Elversberg.
