Pak Khat District

Geography

The Bueng Kan province is located about 615 kilometers northeast of Bangkok along the Mekong River, which is here the border to Laos.

Amphoe Pak Khat borders the following counties ( from east clockwise ) to the Amphoe Bueng Kan and so Phisai in the province Bueng Kan as well as Amphoe Rattanawapi in Nong Khai province. To the northwest lies on the opposite bank of the Mekong River, the province Bolikhamsai of Laos.

History

Pak Khat was born on October 1, 1978 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by being separated from Amphoe Phon Phisai. On 20 March 1986 he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Pak Khat ( tambon) divided into six municipalities, which in turn into 64 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Pak Khat ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ปาก คาด ), consisting of parts of the tambon Pak Khat and Non Sila.

In addition, there are six " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
