Mueang Bueng Kan District

Amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan ( Thai: อำเภอ เมือง บึงกาฬ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the Province Bueng Kan. The Bueng Kan Province is located in the north of the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan.

Geography

The Bueng Kan province is located about 615 kilometers northeast of Bangkok along the Mekong River, which is here the border to Laos.

Amphoe Bueng Kan borders the following counties ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Bung to the Khla, Seka, Si Wilai, Phon Charoen, Pak Khat So Phisai and in the province of Bueng Kan. To the north on the other bank of the Mekong province of Laos is Bolikhamsai.

History

The district was originally called Chaiburi ( ไชย บุรี ), he was part of the province of Nakhon Phanom. In 1917, he was the province of Nong Khai subordinate, and in 1939 it was renamed in Bueng Kan.

On August 3, 2010, proposal, the province Bueng Kan of Nong Khai province was approved by the Thai government. On 22 March 2011, the Law " Act Establishing Changwat Bueng Kan, BE 2554 (2011 )" was published in the Royal Thai Government Gazette. The county Bueng Kan was the eponymous district ( Amphoe Mueang ) of the new province and according to it. Section 4 of the Act in Amphoe Mueang Bueng Kan renamed.

Management

Amphoe Bueng Kan is in twelve communities ( tambon) divided, which in turn in 131 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are six small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Bueng Kan ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บึงกาฬ ), consisting of parts of the tambon Bueng Kan and Wisit,
  • Wisit ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล วิ ศิ ษ ฐ์ ), consisting of other parts of the tambon Wisit,
  • Nong Kheng ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง เข็ง ), consisting of parts of the tambon Nong Kheng,
  • Ho Kham ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หอคำ ), consisting of the entire Tambon Ho Kham,
  • Khok Kong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โคก ก่อง ), consisting of the entire Tambon Khok Kong
  • Khai Si ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ไค สี ), consisting of the whole tambon Si Khai.

In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.

Note: The missing numbers refer to the tambon which now belong to Bung Khla and Si Wilai.
