Si Wilai District

Geography

Amphoe Si Wilai borders the following districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe to the Bueng Kan, Seka and Phon Charoen. All Amphoe lie in the province Nang Khai.

History

Si Wilai was on 1 January 1988 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the four Tambon Si Wilai, Chumphu Phon Na Na Saeng and Sabaeng were separated from Amphoe Bueng Kan. On July 4, 1994, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Si Wilai is in five communities ( tambon) divided, in turn, in 50 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

• Si Wilai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศรีวิไล ), consists of the whole tambon Si Wilai.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
