Paul Fitzgibbon

Paul Joseph Fitzgibbon ( born March 21, 1903 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA, † 12 March 1975 ) Nickname: Red- Haired Flash was an US- American football player. He played in the National Football League ( NFL), among others, at the Green Bay Packers.

Playing career

Paul Fitzgibbon studied at Creighton University. Together with the professional football later the Chicago Cardinals Ike Mahoney he played for their college football team. After graduating, he joined the 1926 Duluth Eskimos a team from the NFL to switch to the following year to the Frankford Yellow Jackets. In 1928 he played with Mahoney for the Chicago Cardinals. From 1930 he ran for three years for the trained by Curly Lambeau Green Bay Packers. For the team from Green Bay played with Cal Hubbard, John McNally and Arnie Herber three future members in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The team won in 1930 with 10 wins from fourteen games, the NFL championship. The following year, the title was defended. After the 1932 season Fitzgibbon ended his career.
